Dr. Irma Bixler

Dr. Irma Bixler is a dedicated optometric physician providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages with over 12 years of experience. Dr. Bixler was born in Albania and moved to Philadelphia at the age of 17 with her family.
Dr. Bixler attended Pennsylvania State University in Abington where she received her Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Life Science. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Elkins Park, and graduated with clinical honors.
During her studies at Pennsylvania College of Optometry she held multiple roles such as Clinical Skills Laboratory Teaching Assistant and Optics Laboratory Teaching Assistant.
Dr. Bixler is passionate about helping patients improve their visual potential and maximize their visual performance through both glasses and contacts. Dr. Bixler specializes in treating ocular
disease, including treatment of dry eye, red eyes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, and surgical co-management. Her dedication to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the optometric field ensures that her patients receive the highest standard of care.
Dr. Bixler is dedicated to treating patients of all ages, and vows to give her patients not only the most appropriate treatment, but also educate them thoroughly about management plans so
they can better understand their eye conditions. Dr. Bixler values creating meaningful relationships with her patients and believes in providing compassionate and personalized care to meet the needs of each individual patient.
